Today we’re joined by AmCham Shanghai’s new president, Ker Gibbs. Gibbs first came to China in 1985, and has since gained broad exposure to the U.S.-China relationship and the business issues facing American companies operating in Asia. His career has spanned Asia and Silicon Valley, with executive positions at Apple, Disney, and other technology and media firms. Much of his time in Shanghai has been in banking and investments, where he served as head of tech and media for greater China at HSBC. He began his current role of AmCham Shanghai president in 2019.
