Spring is upon us and that means it’s time for high school musicals! Each of our comprehensive high schools has an upcoming performance that’s sure to delight. First up is Glencoe with their production of Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka (the musical) on February 21st, 22nd, 27th, 28th, and 29th. Next are Hilhi with Mamma Mia!, and Liberty with AMELIE. Both musicals have performances on February 27th, 28th, 29th and March 5th, 6th, and 7th. Finally, Century presents Disney’s The Little Mermaid, on March 6th, 7th, 12th, 13th and 14th. This show also features a brunch option on March 7th where you can meet the characters. High school theater productions are open to the public and are a great, inexpensive way to spend an evening or afternoon, while providing support to budding young thespians.
