Today, J + L sit down with Michael Gay, a therapist in Boulder, Colorado. After earning his degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Naropa University, Michael channel his education in Transpersonal Psychology into facilitating Wilderness Therapy for six years — where he led countless teens, adults, and families through deep, transformational healing nestled high desert of the mountains. He has worked extensively in the field of addiction and recovery, and currently amidst yet another remarkable pivot in his career.      Michael is currently involved with a rapidly growing men’s organization called Sacred Sons, whose aim is to bring men together for transformational experiences, embodied healing, brotherhood, and empowerment.     In each of his practices, Michael uses experiential and body-based approaches to mobilize emotional content in ways intellectual approaches simply cannot. He explains how many individuals experience a sense of “stuckness” because we attempt to think our way through things that must be experienced.
