The Town Council last week removed a $225,000 capital item from next year's budget to replace the flat roof on The Playhouse. Public works identified the need to replace the roof several years ago, and the first selectman in the wake of the budget cut called the situation at The Playhouse "dangerous." We talk to lifelong New Canaanite Beth Jones about the building and its future ownership and use. Jones while serving as a selectmen sat on the Playhouse Committee, and now sits on the Fire Commission.
