Global Pandemic Won’t Stop A Parent’s Dream For Their Child
This episode is special for so many reasons. It is April of 2020 and I’m guessing you haven’t spent this much quality time with your teenager since maybe before kindergarten. Same for me. Over the last 6+ weeks (I’ve lost count) I’ve spent more time with my mother than I have since that 14-day road trip in 2016. And before that, it was Pre-K. In this episode my Mom opens up about being a single mom of 3, making time to write encouraging love notes to me through my teenage and young adult years, while trying to figure out how to get me into USC, all at a time when HER life was in turmoil. Today we open up and she made me read some of those love notes. Mom will share with you why she wrote them and what she felt when she sent me off to college, when she felt most fragile and vulnerable. If you are a parent, single parent, struggling parent, or worried parent, you need to listen today.
