Mayor Turner’s New Police Reforms (April 30, 2021)

On Friday's Houston Matters: Mayor Sylvester Turner on Thursday announced sweeping new Houston Police reforms that include changes to the department’s body-worn camera policy, an overhaul of the Independent Police Oversight Board, and a complete ban on no-knock warrants for nonviolent offenses. Also this hour: While having to attend classes online from home during the pandemic might have been challenging for some students, others thrived. We learn about efforts to help some students continue to learn in a virtual environment.
