Review of the 2024 film Mother of the Bride
The Mother of the Bride's cast is alright, I suppose. It's no surprise that Benjamin Bratt and Brooke Shields steal the show. Bratt, who is 60 years old, radiates charisma and style just like when he captured everyone's hearts in Miss Congeniality. Shields gained worldwide fame after the release of The Blue Lagoon, and it's fantastic to see her outshine her younger co-stars. The chemistry between Bratt and Shields is honestly the only thing that saves the film. To be honest, I would have preferred a simple, no-frills romantic movie featuring these two rather than this poorly directed film that relies on a weak script.
