My guest is Dr. Pauli Ohukainen, PhD, a Finnish post-doctoral researcher. We speak about his start in biochemistry and then speak about blood lipids and how they affect human health. Paul gradually moved into the field of medical research. His time was spent focusing on the heart, heart valves and the aorta and what physiologic and metabolic processes causes these tissues to break down and become athrosclerotic. Paul came onto my radar through his content on twitter, where he is quite active. He often speaks of blood lipids, which is where we spend the rest of the time in our conversation.
