Johnathan Franklin '12 of Los Angeles Rams

Johnathan Franklin '12 is a Los Angeles native heading into his 4th season in Community Affairs and Engagement for the Los Angeles Rams. Franklin describes his role as using the power of football as a platform to develop youth into the future leaders of society and reassuring that all members of the community can rise to prosperity while providing hope where it doesn’t exist and maintaining it where it does. Prior to joining the Los Angeles Rams, Franklin worked at the University of Notre Dame in Student Welfare and Development. Franklin’s role consisted of working directly with all 26 athletic teams developing and sustaining relationships to create community service opportunities for individual student-athletes and entire athletic teams. Johnathan also had a short stint in Green Bay, Wisconsin, where he was drafted by the Green Bay Packers and spent time serving in a rotational program after retirement. Franklin also had a standout athletic career at UCLA – he still leads the Bruins in all-purpose and career rushing yards, along with having the 7th most career rushing yards in PAC 12 history.

Bruin Success is hosted by Katie Russo, produced by Christian Chavez '13 and made possible by UCLA Alumni.
