Someone Say Whiskey? had and opportunity to do a barrel pick for Empire Liquor, but the barrel was going to be from Iron Root Republic distilling.  Not being a Texas whiskey drinker before this point I went to the pick, and surprisingly was blown away.  We ended up picking two amazing barrels, but knew it would be a hard sell to the whiskey community.  In an effort to find out what people really think about the pick when they are not biased I sent out 22 blind sample bottles to three different whiskey clubs in two different states.  In this recording we go over the results of the blind...spoiler alert the Texas whiskey won.
