We talk about how Phil gave up his voice for the sake of heavy metal; the incredible songwriting and virtuosic skill of brothers Dimebag Darrell and Vinnie Paul; how Steve and Joe discovered Pantera; and the ability of KNAC, a Long Beach-based metal FM radio station, to break bands during the Vulgar era. We also ponder an alternate universe in which Pantera stayed together and still were around today and whether or not they'd be as big as Iron Maiden?
