Black Girl Superhero, Rahkii, is Zooming
Rahkii is a Chicago singer / songwriter whose sound is too big for one genre. She’s worked as a background vocalist for Jennifer Hudson, Eryn Allen Kane and Patti LaBelle, and it’s high time for her to take the center stage. Rahkii spoke with Jill Hopkins about her journey from Gospel church choirs to stepping into a solo career, creating a “hybrid” sound of Pop, Soul and RaB, and drawing inspiration from super heroes and animation.
