Niia questions love and relationships on Jazz / Pop debut "I"
New York based artist Niia comes from a background where her mother was an accomplished Jazz pianist and her grandmother was an opera singer. It’s those sensibilities that inform Niia’s own Pop Jazz fusion. Her current album is "I," a collection of songs that delve into the artist's own skepticism around love and healthy relationships. Each song captures her penchant for sultry grooves and sticky melodies - the perfect accompaniment for Niia’s intensely intimate vocal styling. Jesse Menendez spoke with Niia during the Chicago leg of her tour.
