"Daphne" series at Smart Bar aims to celebrate women and non-binary folks that have contributed to electronic music in the past and present. In addition to nighttime events with DJs and live acts, there will be several panel discussions, talks, and also a public workshop where women and non-binary music enthusiasts can get beginning lessons on how to DJ with turntables and CDJs. Sam Kern aka Sassmouth is a resident DJ at Smart Bar. She also runs the vinyl label "God Particle" and is a mentor and co-organizer for the Walking and Falling DJ mentor program for women and non-binary music enthusiasts.
