DJ Shadow talks sampling vs synth based production and his views on trends in music
For over twenty years, California based DJ and producer DJ Shadow has been leaving his distinct mark on Hip Hop. Along the way he’s collaborated with some of the genre's most revered artists like Q-Tip, E-40, Mike D, Nas and many more. His recently released "The Mountain Will Fall" LP and "The Mountain Has Fallen" EP sees the producer trading in his trademark sampling approach for Ableton Live. Jesse Menendez spoke with DJ Shadow about record digging, sampling vs synth based production, trends in music and more.
