Episode 116: "Red Square" Film Review

"Back in the U.S.  Back in the U.S.  Back in the U.S.S.R." In 2003 and 2004 as part of the Back In The World Tour,  Paul played Moscow and St. Petersburg for the first time.   To memorialize these historic visits a concert film DVD was produced by AaE and The History Channel in 2005. The film flows like a mini-documentary.  Perhaps the most significant aspect of the film features Russian historians and musicians reflecting on the real life struggle and risks they took to listen to Beatles music.  All of this fascinating information is interspersed performance footage from the Red Square concert.  This, as one can imagine can be visually distracting.  Tom and Andy give their opinions of the film and highlight the good, the bad and the ugly! www.2legspodcast.com FB Twitter Insta YouTube Version
