Ep.16 - Lucy hears how Saul gets very excited about a compost delivery, and both talk about how they stake their gardens herbaceous beds in preparation for the summer...

Lucy and Saul are fully aware that the world has taken a monumental shift - the Coronavirus outbreak has left our little bit of the world in Horticulture reeling both personally and professionally. So we both decided that instead of our longer format episodes every 3 weeks or so - we going to record shorter podcasts, through the week, to bring you a slice of our lives at East Donyland Hall and Stonelands and beyond - trying to bring a little bit of spring and sunshine to your eardrums.

Saul gets incredibly excited by a delivery of peat-free compost only an hour before the podcast is recorded, so Lucy has to calm him down while they chat about how the gardens at East Donyland Hall and Stonelands are progressing after Easter, especially focusing on the staking that needs doing in their herbaceous borders  to keep them from spilling over before all the growth and flowering occurs.
