Ep. 8 - Spring is in the air - Lucy and Saul bring you the latest from their Gardens....
Lucy and Saul are fully aware that the world has taken a monumental shift - the Coronavirus outbreak has left our little bit of the world in Horticulture reeling both personally and professionally. So we both decided that instead of our longer format episodes every 3 weeks or so - we going to record shorter podcasts, through the week, to bring you a slice of our lives at East Donyland Hall and Stonelands and beyond - trying to bring a little bit of spring and sunshine to your eardrums.
With a majority of the UK in lockdown, Lucy and Saul are lucky to still be able to escape to their gardens where the natural world is in full flow. Spring is in the air, Magnolias are flowering and precious seedlings are starting to put on their true leaves. In this episode Saul and Lucy discuss how lucky they are in the stringent lockdown rules to still have incredibly safe and isolated workplaces in which to practice their craft, and muse on while no longer having anything really to manage, including staff and logistics, they have recaptured the spirit of being hands-on gardeners and reconnecting with parts of the garden they don't always get the chance to work on.
