Qateel Shifai - Shayar aur Naghma-Nigaar

(24th Dec 1919 - 11th July 2001)

He born in British India (now Pakistan). He started working in the Pakistani film industry in 1947 as a lyricist. He wrote 2,500 songs and published multiple books. His talent crossed geographical border. His Urdu poetry has been translated into numerous languages including Hindi,  Gujarati, English, Russian and Chinese. He was honored with multiple awards.
