FLY Travel Radio Episode 138: Walking Across Africa, with Explorer Mario Rigby

In 2015, Mario Rigby left his Toronto life behind to walk and kayak across Africa. He had never been to Africa, he had no real trekking experience, and he had never kayaked. More than two years later, Mario had been through 8 countries, walked 12,000 kms and kayaked 550kms. While these feats are impressive on their own, Mario's awareness of himself, humanity, and all living things is the true discovery of this journey. Without any role models of black travellers and adventurers, Mario stresses the importance of his life as an explorer, and why the world needs to see more people out on the road, regardless of gender, culture or ethnicity. Tune in to learn more about Explorer, Mario Rigby. Original broadcast on CIUT 89.5FM and www.ciut.fm. FLY Travel Radio can be heard every Sunday at 1pm EST.
