Learnings from The Knowledge Illusion: Why We Never Think Alone
What the book The Knowledge Illusion shows us is that we “Humans” as individuals do not have complete understanding of what is happening around us, we don’t get into much details. What we as humans do is rely on our tribal or community knowledge to create the basis of our source of truth. This “illusion of knowledge” stems from the fact that we live in a tribe or community of people with a great deal of acquired knowledge and as individuals we fail in the ability to distinguish between what we have in our minds and what is outside them. We think that our understanding of the world sits in our brains while in reality we draw largely from the environment that surrounds us. I discuss such interesting findings from the book in this podcast. Buy the Book: https://www.amazon.in/Knowledge-Illusion-Never-Think-Alone/dp/039918435X
