Matt Belknap is a writer, producer and podcaster that has been at it from day one. He co-hosts Earwolf's "Never Not Funny” podcast with Jimmy Pardo, an award-winning weekly comedy podcast since 2006. He also co-founded A Special Thing Records, a record label birthed from a Tenacious D fan forum back in 2006, which produces comedy albums from some of the top comedians in the business, like Bob Odenkirk, Marc Maron and Patton Oswalt, as well as comedy podcasts, such as Doug Loves Movies, Bear Down Podcast, and The Smartest Man in the World. To top it off he also co-founded ART19, one of the top podcast hosting platforms, which many podcasts (including ONE37pm) use today to distribute and monetize their content. Matt joins Kal Elsebai, ONE37pm Director of Podcasts to discuss the beginnings of his career as a screenwriter, how he got into comedy and the origins of podcasting.
