On December 7th, 1862, the residents of a small Northwest Arkansas town fell victim to an assault on their town and lives as Union and Confederate forces would converge on in what would become known as the Battle of Prairie Grove. When all was said and done, more than 2,500 lives would be lost and a community left with traumatic scars that could never be erased.
