Danielle speaks with Ed Gordon, experienced journalist and author of Conversations in Black: On Power, Politics, and Leadership. Ed & Danielle discuss the state of black people in our country today, the slow progress that we’ve seen, and the work that is still ahead. Ed emphasizes the strength that black people hold and the need to find common ground to create significant change. He sees the power of people coming together and showing up in numbers as the greatest tool to address the issues facing our communities. Ed Gordon aims to empower people with the sense that they have a voice – though we can’t control everything in life, we do have the ability to control the way we move through the events and issues we encounter.
