TKL62: To Stretch Or Not To Stretch

Yes, you should stretch! It feels good and it helps lengthen your tissue that can then be strengthened with intentional mobility training. The reason this podcast came about was from a question I received during a QaA. Specifically the question was asking what stretches I did before a workout. I rarely do passive stretching before a workout. What I do do is activation. That's key to lifting safely and effectively firing what you want on command. Maintaining control throughout your lifts requires not only muscular control, but also joint control.  But there are times where you should be putting yourself into a passive stretch for sometime to allow yourself to slow increase your range of motion for a certain motion through loading the tissue progressively and safely. Everything is always it depends. There's rarely a one size fits all answer!  --- E-BOOKS a CONTENT  -- 1.
