What’s going on with the American workforce?
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce said in a report released today that we are in a workforce crisis. There’s an all-time high of 8.1 million job openings — and there are not enough available workers able, or willing, to take those jobs. On today’s show, we take the labor market’s temperature. Also on the show: President Joe Biden is trying to tackle racial inequality in home appraisals, lumber shortages are making the reclaimed wood market hot, and how tough pandemic decisions are paying off for some restaurants.
