That was the most common infinitive verb that you will find in SPANISH, I mean, verbs that end in -AR (ei ar) But, what happen with the other endings? Well, today we will continue with COMER (to eat), ending -ER (i ar). So, follow the same method as the last time and write again the Spanish pronouns and delete -ER this time. You will have a new word: COM (ci ou em). Write it next to your pronouns again. Escucha con atención Yo comO (the same as canto, add -O) Tú comes (add - E) Él or ella come Nosotros or nosotras comemos Vosotros or vosotras coméis Ellos or ellas comen As you can notice, is the same ending as CANTAR in YO because in both cases we just add -O at the end. And, in the other pronouns, we just change A to E. So, we don't say tu COMAS but tu COMES, we don't say el COMA but yes él COME. And finally, if you have understood all the previous system and this basic tricks to create presente, verbos that ends in IR, such as VIVIR (to live) are going to be really easy. Escucha con atención 1. Yo VIVO 2. Tú VIVES 3. EL vive 4. Nosotros vivimos 5. vosotros vivís 6. ellos viven Have you notice any particular patron? Exactly, YO, again, is the same in the three infinitive: you just must add a final -O in every verb. And the other forms are absolutely the same as verbos that ends en -ER, but with two excepciones: NOSOTROS and VOSOTROS, in which we change the E for I (we say nosotros VIVImos but we dont' say nosotros VIVEMOS; we say vosotros VIVis but we don't say vosotros VIVEIS...). Estresado? No te preocupes, poco a poco. My consejo: coge otra vez el papel, el movil o la tablet, and continue practising this ending with different regular verbs such as HABLAR (to speak), TOMAR (to take), BEBER (to drink) LEER (to red) or ABRIR (to open) or ESCRIBIR (to write). If you want a quickly correction, you can write your presente of these verbs in my blog LearnSpanishBeginner.com and I will correct them personally.
