71 - Burnley Bingo? Completed It Mate!

Clarets fans were gleefully posting their bingo cards on Saturday evening after their 1-0 victory over AFC Bournemouth at Dean Court, as Cherries fans echoed the (apparently) much used Burnley-isms such as anti-football, long ball, dirty tactics and many more - completing a full-house, with the Lancashire side going home happy after their (probably deserved) narrow victory. It was a poor game, and not a great advert for the Premier League, but it was a late Jay Rodriguez goal that separated the sides. Cherries were always up against it from the start with a well drilled and determined Burnley side who stuck to their guns and out-fought and out-thought - sometimes using physicality rather than footballing braun - but it was an effective technique which left Eddie Howe once against scratching his head in terms of how on earth he can ever get one over his former club. Martin Atkinson had a shocker with the whistle, but excuses aside, it was a poor performance from a shot-less Cherries side. This week, Michael Dunne joins Sam Davis to go over the game, and as well as taking in your thoughts and some raw match audio from the Vitality, we also go on to preview the forthcoming Boxing Day clash against Arsenal too! Back of the Net is an unofficial podcast dedicated to the highs and lows of AFC Bournemouth. We engage and entertain over 5,000 Cherries fans every week via our pod & Youtube.
