Ruby's Instagram page has been my saviour during this lockdown - her words resonate with every single one of my emotions I've been feeling over the last few weeks. We talk a lot about how our mental health has been hit by this pandemic and Ruby also gave me the courage to speak up about how I'm feeling during this time - something I never do on the podcast! Ruby's experience as a writer has allowed her to understand that success will involve many years of tears, let downs, and upset - and she's okay with that, as long as she succeeds in her goal of writing a novel.
