#2: Danielle Brooks, Orange Is the New Black
Danielle Brooks, best known as Tasha "Taystee" Jefferson on the Netflix series "Orange is the New Black," had her first acting role at age 6 in her family's South Carolina church. A daughter of a minister and a deacon, Brooks left her humble beginnings to attend Juilliard in New York City and earned a Tony nomination for her Broadway debut.
