1. India asks its nationals to leave Afghanistan on a 'special flight' from Mazar-i-Sharif - the country's fourth largest city - amid intense fighting with the Taliban. 'A special flight is leaving from Mazar-e-Sharif to New Delhi. Any Indian nationals in and around Mazar-e-Sharif are requested to leave for India in the special flight scheduled to depart late today evening,' the Indian consulate in Mazar-e-Sharif tweets. 2. Political parties must make criminal records of their poll candidates public within 48 hours of their selection, the Supreme Court says, in a big step towards decriminalising politics. In a move to stop state governments from misusing their powers, the court also says criminal cases against MLAs or MPs cannot be withdrawn without approval from High Courts. 3.
