#11 - #FakeFakeNews
Fake News has become a phrase used by uninformed naysayers globally, in response to anything they disagree with, or that does not fit into their "world view" of how things are. While Fake News certainly does exist, when media or others make materially false claims which are factually inaccurate, the phrase has been adopted as a means of censoring and rebuking anything and everything that anyone disagrees with. As a result of the widespread misuse of the term, across all social media and broadcasting platforms, The Night Watch has taken on the cause. We are officially embracing the phrase "Fake Fake News" and promoting the hashtag #FakeFakeNews which refers to the false FAKE NEWS claims made so frequently. A simple reply "Fake Fake News" (with or without hashtag) may be used to rebuke the FAKE Fake News naysayers, specifically those who call news, opinion, insights, and/or observations fake without taking the time to personally and directly investigate, research, or even spend reasonable time exploring the topic in question.
