1. Pro-Pakistan Kashmiri separatist Syed Ali Shah Geelani dies at the age of 92 at his home in Srinagar. The hardliner Islamist leader - who has been the face of the separatist politics in Jammu and Kashmir - had been ailing for long and had resigned from politics and Hurriyat last year. The funeral took place this morning. Security has been strengthened in Kashmir Valley following his death. Restrictions, including suspension of internet services, have been imposed in Kashmir Valley, says Vijay Kumar, a senior police officer in Kashmir. Security has also been strengthened outside Mr Geelani's house in Hyderpora. 2. Congress chief Sonia Gandhi will take a final call on the induction of election strategist Prashant Kishor in the party after a series of meetings with senior leaders, many of whom are opposed to the idea, sources tell NDTV. Mr Kishor, who had a botched stint with Nitish Kumar's Janata Dal (United), had a series of meetings with the three Gandhis in July, where a role for him in the party was explored in detail. 3.
