#09 Why do we hide from our own emotions?
Are you angry? Good – breathe through the anger.
Are you hurt? Excellent – let it hurt so it heals faster.
Are you sad? Well, last I’ve heard, crying makes you feel better.
Liberating, right?
Don’t deny yourself the right to experience the full emotional spectrum. Don’t numb the negative – because you may accidentally numb the positive too.
We keep talking about being emotionally intelligent and finding ways to deal with our emotions – and most of us, me included, struggle to really identify what’s been going on under the surface.
