The Essence of Movement, with Josh Landis (EP.14)

Hello, and WELCOME to the Bare Bones Yoga Podcast: Conversations for Yoga Teachers! This is EPISODE 14 and today we’re going to explore movement from the perspective of both anatomy, biomechanics, kinesiology and rehabilitation. My guest, Josh Landis, has extensive experience in these areas and I know you’re just going to love the science and evidenced based discussion we’ll have. Josh is a strength coach and licensed massage therapist by trade, but more so likes to be referred to as a movement coach and manual therapist. Josh combines many different bodywork techniques and movement modalities to create an integrated approach to helping clients resolve pain, expand movement capacity, and improve overall performance.  In this episode, Josh and I talk about movement from the perspective of how you can effectively cue students, what it means when the body moves in different ways, outside what we might think is the “ideal” alignment of a shape, position or pose and how he shares his approach to professional growth and learning at the end of the podcast so you have a roadmap to follow for your own journey.  You can contact Josh via his website at:   https://landismovementsystems.com/   And you can follow him on Instagram using the same name.   Looking for more information on cues? Run through my online webinar on cues by viewing it here:   https://barebonesyoga.lpages.co/free-webinar-on-yoga-cues/   Once you listen leave a comment here or wherever you’re listening.
