People cry because they don't have food to eat. People cry because they lost a loved one. People cry because a friend is addicted to alcohol. People cry as they watch their people suffer from injustice. You're crying because sally next door just got a porch while you're stuck with a 1999 Honda Civic. You're crying because Jim from sales just got a promotion. You're crying because Jeremy has a six-pack, and you have a six-pack gut. Self-comparison has little to do with your actual circumstances.
