Episode 4: The Looming Economic Crisis
On the fourth episode, Danny discusses the economic turmoil of the past decade. He discusses the consequences of interest rates at nearly zero percent; the vast accumulation of debt; JP Morgan's quant guy warning of a flash crash and social crisis not seen since 1968; the escalating trade wars with China; and other emerging threats to the global economy. None of these dangers alone is a threat to the global economy but together they may trigger the next economic crisis.
