In the early days of President Joe Biden’s administration, a new Department of Transportation is starting to take shape. Yesterday, Transportation Secretary-nominee Pete Buttigieg made his case to the Senate Commerce Committee, touting a goal of transformative infrastructure legislation. Additionally, DOT announced that Biden had tapped Meera Joshi to serve as deputy administrator of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, among other appointees.
