High Fidelity - Part 1 (with Jimmy Newlin)

My friend Jimmy Newlin returns to the podcast for a full two-parter to talk about High Fidelity (2000), a movie that, to the best of our recollection, holds a not entirely flattering mirror up to both of our personal histories. The two of us being members of academia (I have his permission to say that!), we start the chat off with a brief discussion of the current state of higher education and the veracity of the 1994 Jeremy Piven vehicle PCU.  Fair warning, the audio was a little touchy, so be prepared for a couple of blips and clicks, but it’s a good conversation, and it’s eminently more listenable than the infamous Lost Convo from Jimmy’s last appearance. Please enjoy!
