Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man - Part 2 (with Bob Rose)
After Bob Rose and I watched as masculine, action-packed, red-blooded American a film as Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man (1991), it only made sense that we’d start our discussion with an aesthetic evaluation of the design of the American flag. Maybe I said some things that prickled his sense of patriotism, maybe he said some things that evinced his affection for fascism. Somehow, we managed to move past it onto the one thing we could unreservedly agree on: Tia Carrere is thoroughly squandered in this movie. By the way, the horrible, soul-debilitating movie Bob mentions was actually called Legion of Iron, not Legion of Doom. I thought Legion of Doom didn’t sound quite right, but I trusted him. I may never trust again. Here’s the episode of his podcast BONUS DISC where they talk about that monstrosity: https://thundergrunt.com/e/legion-of-iron-w-jen-tydings-%e2%80%93-bonus-disc/
