Hey everyone, Kirk here again at Option Alpha. Welcome back to the daily call. Today’s call, I wanted to take a break from my early morning. As I’m recording this right now, it’s about 4:30 in the morning and I’ve been up for a little bit now, just couldn’t sleep because I was busy working last night and tonight on just some new changes to the website. I want to take a break now because I thought something popped in my head as I was grabbing my second cup of coffee already this morning at 4:30. But I wanted to talk about just leveraging your best assets and strengths. Something just came up recently as I was trying to figure out some new page, layouts and trying to figure out how in the heck to get one of the pages on the website to look the way that I want it to. It doesn’t seem overly-complicated, but for whatever reason, I just couldn’t figure it out. At the moment, I couldn’t figure out how to get this one column to line up and everything to look good because I’m pretty much a big stickler about how everything looks on the website which hopefully is why the website is really nice and you guys enjoy it. I couldn’t figure this out and I went looking, I went digging into forums and into guides and I’ve got a book on coding and CSS, the whole deal and I just thought instantly one of my best assets… I think people have to realize this and maybe you do or maybe you don’t yet, but you should take time to figure it out. But I do believe that one of my best assets or qualities is resourcefulness. It has really served me well and I’m so glad that I actually have that quality. You may not or may have a different one. Yours might be management. Yours might be creativity and design and writing or whatever the case is. But man, I’ll tell you what. Leveraging that asset for me has been everything. I mean everything I do, I’m very, very resourceful and I recognize that now and I try to play off of that strength. Any time that I need to do something or solve a problem, I’m pretty good about digging in and trying to find the solution. It may take me a little while, but I’m really persistent about figuring it out and wanting to understand it. I think that’s maybe why I’m also a decent trader and investor because I want to understand, I want to dig in and learn more and that’s why we do so much research and back-testing and building out software. It’s just this resourceful side of me. I think I only say this today to say you should figure out what your best quality is or your best trait, your best characteristic is and leverage that in as many different areas in your life as you possibly can. If you’re a really creative person, (which I’m not that creative honestly, I’m really not creative, like draw, design, whatever) then leverage that asset in whatever you do and use it to your advantage to grow in your job or in a different venture or start a business or whatever the case is. I don’t know. I just thought about that this morning as I’m grabbing my next cup of coffee. I appreciate that I recognize that and I have enough self-awareness in myself that that is my best quality and asset, is my resourcefulness and I just want to share and hopefully you can figure out what yours is and try to figure out how you can leverage it a little bit better.
