Ep 8: Fat a Broke to RIPPED a RICH: My Interview w/ Coach Jimmy (The Power of STORY + How Tony Horton changed his life )

Yes, you may have seen Jimmy in Shaun T’s revolutionary workout program INSANITY! Jimmy is a powerhouse entrepreneur and top Beachbody Coach. Coach Jimmy, aka Jimmy Hays Nelson, was overweight from early childhood through his college years. Playing the "funny fat guy role," Jimmy always surrounded himself with people in an attempt to compensate for the isolation he felt inside.  After quitting college (for the 2nd time), he had given up on his dream of becoming a professional actor and found himself in his mid 20’s living in his parents house working at a local bar with very little ambition or direction. Little did he know, working at that bar would ultimately change his life. One of Jimmy’s co-workers had amazing success losing weight and shared that he had been doing a DVD workout program from Beachbody called Power 90. After some skepticisim about working out to a DVD, Jimmy finally purchased the program, started his fitness journey, and his life was never the same. He saw immediate results, found an amazing online support community, and never looked back. Success with Power 90 led to being one of the first people to do P90X when it was first released in 2003. His amazing results with P90X resulted in making the choice to help others as a Beachbody Coach. Because of that choice, he had opportunities to go to live events where he became personal friends with Beachbody CEO Carl Daikeler and P90X Creator Tony Horton. Tony and Jimmy hit it off immediately, which led to Jimmy making guest appearances with Tony on QVC to promote P90X! Eventually those relationships led him to have the opportunity to audition and be cast in Shaun T’s revolutionary workout program INSANITY®.   JIMMY'S AUDITION FOR INSANITY Jimmy's YouTube Channel, here.  Jimmy's website: TheCoachJimmy.com
