Five Reasons To Love... Julian Temple
Adam and Darrell pick another topic to explore through five films and this time they have chosen the career and work of director Julien Temple. Recorded on the weekend when Glastonbury 2020 was due to take place, we explore Temple's documentary on the famous festival as well as his Sex Pistols doc/propaganda exercise The Great Rock 'n' Roll Swindle (1980). Rounding out the five are his day-glo, 80s musical/comedy Earth Girls Are Easy (1988), the film that almost broke the British Film Industry Absolute Beginners (1986) and his 90s Mickey Rourke/Tupac vehicle Bullet (1996). We also find time to discuss Temple's extended pop promo for David Bowie, Jazzin' For Blue Jean (1984).
