US President announces Covid-19 vaccine sharing plan
US President Joe Biden announced that the Us will allocate 75% of the first tranche of 2.5 crore doses Of unused Covid 19 vaccines from its stockpile through the UN backed COVAX Global vaccine sharing programme to countries in south and southeast asia, Africa.The government has announced a project to select, support and create elderly care products and services by relevant startups. The step has been taken to encourage the youth to help senior citizens using innovative solutions.According to Rajeev Misra, chief executive officer of SoftBank Vision Fund, the fund has invested 2 billion dollars in Indian startups in the first 5 months of 2021 and will continue to invest.Micro venture capital fund Artha Venture Fund has raised Rs.225 crore. This includes Rs.25 crore as the green shoe option. The fund will invest in seed, pre series A and series A rounds.E-commerce platform Flipkart is going to raise 600-700 million dollars from SoftBank Vision fund three years after the exit. According to sources, the funding is a part of a 2 billion dollar round in which a group of sovereign wealth funds will also participate.Addverb Technologies, a Noida based robotics startup is in final stage talks with leading institutional investors to raise 80-120 million dollars for a fresh round of funding. The company builds robotics and automation solutions for factories and warehouses.Microblogging platform twitter has launched a subscription service that will offer exclusive features. The service is known as Twitter Blue and one of its features will allow users to undo a Tweet. The monthly subscription is available at Rs.210.AI first Saas startup Vernacular.ai has rolled out several initiatives in order to help and support the employees amid Covid 19 crises. As a part of the initiatives, the company will help with monetary and healthcare support to the employees who have been affected by the pandemic.Invite only audio chat app Clubhouse will soon launch payments feature in India. The feature will allow users to pay creators for the shows hosted on the platform.
