Amazon to Launch Satellite Internet in India

Reliance Retail’s shopping platform has started selling smartphones, television and refrigerators on the online shopping platform. The company is planning to integrate the recently acquired Urban Ladder,Zivame and Hamleys with the platform.E commerce platform Amazon is planning to launch Satellite internet services in India soon. The company will approach the government to discuss authorisation, landing rights, modalities, permits and satellite bandwidth leasing costs.Under the 59 minute loan approval scheme, the number of loans sanctioned by public and private sector banks and non banking financial companies to MSMEs has been 2,31,425 as of April 30, 2021. The total amount involved is Rs.76,670 crores.According to the Reserve Bank of India, the banks cannot use the April 2018 crypto currency ban in order to warn the users for trading in cryptocurrency. The 2018 ban was nullified by the supreme court in 2020.In order to help workers amid the Covid-19 pandemic, the ministry of labour and and employment has announced additional benefits for workers through social security schemes run by the Employees Provident Fund organisation and Employees’ state insurance.Gurugram based healthtech startup Breathe Well-being has raised one million dollars in a pre series A funding round led by 3One4 (read as 3 1 4 ) Capital. The startup helps people prevent, manage and reverse type-2 diabetes. Rural fintech startup Jai Kisan has raised 30 million dollars in a series A funding round led by Mirae Asset. The amount was raised in a combination of equity and debt.Mensa Brands has raised 50 million dollars in a series A funding round. The round saw participation from Accel partners, Falcon Edge Capital and Norwest Venture Partners. Online digital insurance startup Plum has raised 15.6 million dollars in its Series A funding round led by Tiger Global. The round also saw participation from Sequoia Capital’s programme Surge, Tanglin Venture Partners, Incubate Fund and Gemba Capital.Harsha Moily, the son of former Karnataka Chief Minister M.Veerappa Moily, will launch a 200 million dollars venture capital fund which will support the nascent climate technology sector.
