Nataraja meets with Ravi, one of his friends from the college days in the market. In conversations, he comes to know how he is doing well and earning money. Nataraja goes through the moral conundrum of his personal beliefs about education and what it has become over time. His friend compares him to a reptile. By the end of the story, Nataraja realizes what he will do and appreciates his life. This story is a mystery.
